Seeking a Marketing Manger to work in our Duncan, SC headquarters facility. This position is full-time and offers competitive pay as well as a comprehensive benefits package.  The Marketing Manager position is a working manager position, meaning that it will hold supervisory responsibilities as well as performing daily marketing functions.  Additionally, this person will need to spearhead an e-commerce site change in the next year or two.

Essential Functions of the position include:

  • Maintain E-Commerce and Informational Websites – Keep items listed for sale on website up to date with technical descriptions, part numbers, and correct pricing. Add/remove items as needed.  Keep main website content and design current and user friendly.  Develop pages/sites as needed for special events or campaigns.
  • Supervise Marketing Staff – Train, develop, and manage the performance of allocated marketing staff in the accomplishment of Marketing department objectives.
  • Drive Internet Marketing – Drive internet sales activity through effective SEO and PPC activities. Analyze and adjust tactics based on traffic acquisition and quality.  Increase repeat business through remarketing and continuous improvement to customer experience.
  • Plan and Execute Customer Events – Plan, manage, and execute trade shows, open houses, and other customer and vendor-oriented events.
  • Plan and Execute Marketing Campaigns – Design and execute marketing campaigns in conjunction with inside/outside sales departments and vendors/partners. Design and publish print media, press releases, email blasts, and other informational campaigns to drive brand recognition and sales activity.
  • Manage Social Media Marketing – Develop and implement effective B2B social media strategies.
  • Manage Promotional Items & Inventory – Design, order, and manage inventory for promotion items such as pens, shirts, cups, etc. Manage stock and dissemination of vendor literature.

Required Qualifications and Skills for this candidate are:

Duties of this position are:

  • Answering incoming calls and inquiries from customers, potential customers and MSI-Viking outside sales team.
  • Providing timely and accurate answers to requests for information about our products and services.
  • Suggesting information about product alternatives, accessories and services.
  • Resolving product or service problems by clarifying the customer’s complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment.
  • Opening and updating accounts by recording account information.
  • Preparing and processing customer quotes, orders, and changes according to established department policies and procedures.
  • Partner with sales reps to meet and exceed customer’s service expectations.

Candidate Qualifications for this position are:

  • A minimum of three years customer service experience.
  • Some experience in manufacturing quality processes, precision gages and metrology systems and the servicing of same equipment is a major plus. However we may be willing to train the right person with an insatiable willingness to learn.
  • Excellent telephone skills including listening skills, speaking voice and a positive, friendly demeanor.
