ZEISS Optical Measuring Machines and Systems
Complex measurements can be performed quickly and easily with optical measuring solutions from ZEISS. With a high degree of automation and state-of-the-art sensors, they reduce operating errors and guarantee high measuring accuracy. A variety of optical measuring systems such as ZEISS O-SELECT, ZEISS O-INSPECT, ZEISS COMET, and ZEISS T-SCAN are available.
ZEISS O-INSPECT Multi-Sensor Measuring Systems
An Expert in Every Discipline
ZEISS O-INSPECT multisensor measuring machines enable optimal measurement of each characteristic – optically or by contact. The O-INSPECT delivers reliable 3D accuracy compliant with ISO standards at a temperature range of 18-30°C.
ZEISS O-INSPECT provides premium sensors for leading-edge optical and contact performance in full 3D without any software limitations. ZEISS CALYPSO software delivers results easily and simplifies the detection and identification of the causes of errors.
Highlights
- ZEISS VAST XXT contact scanning sensor: Minimal probing forces, smallest tip diameters, many measured points by scanning for form inspections
- ZEISS Discovery.V12 lens: Large, distortion-free visual field
- Optional white light sensor allows the measurement of small and sensitive surfaces
- ZEISS CALYPSO reference software: Live image and results in one view, 3D CAD capability
- Pallet system with interface for automatic temperature monitoring
- Optional rotary table for 360° measurements
- Optimal contrast with ZEISS O-INSPECT illumination system
A high-contrast image is necessary for precise results. ZEISS O-INSPECT features a highly variable illumination system for this purpose. Different forms, textures and surface colors can be illuminated so different lightning angles can be realized and edges become clearly visible.
The flexibility of ZEISS O-INSPECT makes it the ideal solution for inspection jobs in the medical technology, plastics technology, electronics, and precision engineering industries.

ZEISS O-DETECT Profile Projectors
High-end camera in the entry-level segment
A key element of ZEISS O-DETECT is its high-quality camera. Thanks to sophisticated software and the new auto-focus function, the images taken by the camera is transformed into precise measurement results.
Quick, precise, and intuitive – thanks to the overview camera
Another essential component of ZEISS O-DETECT is the first in its class: an overview camera with an integrated 5-megapixel camera sensor. This equipment automatically locates the component to be measured without the need for user intervention. This saves time and increases the machine’s throughput. As is the case with other applications, this machine is also characterized by very simple and intuitive controls.
Blue and white LED toplight
High-quality lighting plays a key role in achieving precise measurement results. The versatile and easily exchangeable ZEISS O-DETECT toplight provides the best conditions for this. The toplight operates automatically and according to user-defined settings.
Illumination options for every task
ZEISS O-DETECT provides different illumination options for every challenge that you might face with some measuring pieces. A ring light for general part top lighting and options for lighting shiny workpieces, or optimized lighting for challenging edges.
Easy to use and program: ZEISS ZAPHIRE software
ZEISS ZAPHIRE is a fully 3D software package with workflows simple enough for anyone to pick up, needing only 2 days of training. Coupled with the full-color overview camera, ZEISS ZAPHIRE on ZEISS O-DETECT makes tasks like part navigation more ergonomic and intuitive.
